Express Employment Professionals Client, an artisan deli meat producer in South Surrey, BC. Who has been quietly making the finest quality European delicatessen products possible for over half a century. is seeking a full time packaging associate.
Position Summary
Packaging Associate will perform a wide variety of repetitive tasks in the packaging of deli meats and sausages. This particular role has most focus on packaging, but could include some of the following tasks below dependent on volume:
Responsibilities:
- Operate vacuum packaging and shrink tunnel equipment
- Insert product into plastic packages
- Attaching product labels and dating product with best before dates
- Peeling nets off of whole muscle meats and roasts.
- Putting product into containers and stacking these containers
- Completing daily packaging reports
- Placing product on storage shelves
- Moving product wagons in and out of packaging area.
- Cleaning of the packaging area and equipment.
- Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Able to lift up to 22Kgs frequently, and up to 5 feet high
- Able to perform physical tasks that require frequent bending and twisting throughout the shift
- Able to stand for long periods
- Good manual dexterity and able to perform repetitive hand motions
- Able to work in cold, noisy and wet environment
Shift is 6am-230pm, Monday-Friday, this is a long term, full time position for the right person
On a bus route
Pay: $20/hour to start
Need: Steel toed boots
