Job Full Description
Our client is an established regional tire wholesaler based in Western Canada. They are rapidly growing and are seeking a talented and dedicated Operations Manager to join their team in Kelowna.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operations in Kelowna. This includes managing inventory, optimizing processes, and leading a team of warehouse staff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products through the warehouse, meeting customer demands, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of warehouse personnel to achieve operational goals and objectives.
· Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels.
· Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
· Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
· Oversee the shipping and receiving processes to meet customer delivery requirements and maintain accurate records.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient supply chain
· management.
Skills and Experience:
· 3 -4 years in an Operations Management role or similar position
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics
· Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
· Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
· Excellent leadership and communication skills.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
