Job Full Description
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanic for a large food manufacturer in Coquitlam! This is a Full-Time & Permanent role within their team. Candidates with experience as a Millwright or Mechanic within the industrial manufacturing background would be strongly considered. Please be aware that this is an overnight shift.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of customer service experience, strong asset for leadership roles
- Fluency using MS Suite: Outlook, Excel & Word
- Knowledge base of PLC
- GMP knowledge
- HACCP knowledge/certification would be a strong asset
- Electrical & MIG/TIG welding experience would be a strong asset
- Committed to safety, food safety & quality practices
- Excellent attention to detail
- Food & Goods Manufacturing standard: clean-shaven, no jewellery
- Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- References & BG check will be conducted upon further consideration of a candidate
Duties
- General maintenance of the facility: electrical, construction & mechanical
- Organize maintenance schedules for machinery
- Regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment & facilities
- Operate hoist & lift devices during installation, setup & repair of machinery
- Install, troubleshoot & maintain power transmission, vacuum hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Provide emergency repairs to ensure 24/7 availability of services
