Our Tri-Cities client, a provider of door and cabinet architectural hardware in both residential and commercial projects, is hiring a full-time Director, Field Installations. This role is responsible to oversees the overall installations process of doors and hardware in Western Canada for project such as healthcare, commercial, institutional, and residential developments. You will manage Site Forepersons, Sub-Contractors and field crews as well as collaborate with other departments such as Project Management, Production, Integrated Solutions, and Warehouse. Your strong interpersonal skills will build strong relationships within the organization and outside with general contractors and developers.

Job Duties

· Strong installation oversight of complex large-scale deployments of doors, frames, and architectural hardware.

· Ensure precision alignment with project drawings, specs, and fire/life safety standards.

· Lead pre-installation field assessment and post-installation quality reviews.

· Direct Site Forepersons, Field Supervisors, Sub-Contractors, and trade partners.

· Develop staffing strategies to meet dynamic jobsite demands and optimize resource allocation.

· Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments such as Project Management, Production, Integrated Solutions, and Warehouse, to ensure seamless execution.

· Serve as the primary liaison with General Contractor, Architects, and Inspectors to maintain project momentum and resolve filed challenges.

· Communicate progress updates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and schedule alignment.

· Enforce compliance with NFPA, ADA and local building codes.

· Ensure proper installation of fire-rated assemblies and egress systems.

· Lead field audits and warranty resolution efforts.

· Streamline workflows from delivery to installation, reducing rework and improving efficiency.

· Standardize field safety practices to align with company, customer & provincial policies

· Train field technicians on proper hardware installation techniques (locks, closers, panic devices, etc.)

· Good understanding of WorkSafe & supervisory policies and requirements.

· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and career pathing for field leadership.

Skills and Experience

· 8 – 10 years of experience in door/hardware installation or finishing carpentry.

· 8 – 10 years of field supervision and project delivery.

· In-depth knowledge of Division 8 specifications and installation tolerances.

· Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical hardware systems

· Proficient in blueprint reading and construction documentation platforms (Construction Management field software)

· Skilled in interpreting and applying building codes and fire/life safety standards.

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset but not required.
