Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join an established manufacturing organization based in Coquitlam. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity supporting a 300+ employee, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
This role is heavily recruitment-focused (approximately 85%), with the remaining time dedicated to front desk coverage and employee events.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience, ideally within a manufacturing or high-volume environment
- Strong, hands-on foundation in full-cycle recruitment within the local BC market
- Experience supporting high-volume hiring across hourly operational roles
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
CPHR designation or working towards it is considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, job boards, and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Comfortable conducting interviews and coordinating onboarding activities
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Reliable attendance and ability to support a 24/7 operation
- Permanent Resident status or otherwise legally eligible to work in British Columbia
- Excellent communication, both written & verbal
- References and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and support full-cycle recruitment (job postings, screening, interviews, offers, onboarding) for hourly and salaried roles
- Manage recruitment activities accounting for approximately 85% of the role’s focus
- Coordinate first-day orientation and onboarding for new hires
- Maintain and update job descriptions and job postings across platforms
- Support tracking and administration of performance reviews for hourly staff
- Provide front desk coverage during scheduled breaks and absences
- Assist employees and leaders with day-to-day HR-related inquiries
- Support the organization and execution of employee engagement events, recognition initiatives, and training sessions
- Work closely with operations and leadership teams to support staffing needs
- Report directly to the HR Manager and collaborate within a small HR team
