Our Tri-Cities based client, a North American leader in architectural glass solutions, offering innovative fire-rated skylights and curtainwall, structural glazing, ballistic, and smart-glass systems for commercial, institutional, transportation, and defense projects, is looking for a full-time permanent Project Manager with a strong background in the glazing and architectural glass industry. You will oversee complex construction projects from initial coordination to final installation, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met while maintaining outstanding relationships with clients and suppliers.
 
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage glass and glazing projects across North America from initiation to close-out.
· Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of fire-rated and structural glass systems projects.
· Act as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, glaziers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
· Interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to develop project scopes and timelines.
· Coordinate internal teams (engineering, production, logistics) and external suppliers to meet project milestones.
· Track project progress, manage change orders, and mitigate risks and delays.
· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety standards, and product certifications (e.g., NFPA, ASTM, UL, Intertek).
· Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and communication logs.
· Conduct site visits as needed to support installation coordination and quality assurance.
· Coordinate project resources, track timelines, and maintain schedules in line with GC, glazing contractors, and trade partners.
· Utilize SmartSheet and other project management tools to plan, monitor, and report on progress.
· Conduct project kickoff meetings and collaborate with superintendents, engineers, and trades.
· Issue and manage RFIs, change orders, and technical submittals.
· Evaluate scope changes and ensure accurate costing of material, labor, and equipment.
· Coordinate shop drawings, procurement, and shipping logistics.
· Resolve disputes, track field issues, and ensure quality and safety compliance.
· Meet with architects, general contractors, and field teams to address design or installation issues.
· Source and order glazing systems, hardware, curtain walls, and structural glass from North America and Europe.
· Monitor inventory, ensure timely delivery of project materials, and adjust logistics as needed.
· Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to maintain product quality and delivery timelines.
· Act as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
· Support billing and progress invoicing; coordinate with accounting for collections and cash flow planning.
 
Skills & Qualifications
· 5+ years of project management experience required in the glazing, façade, or building envelope industry
· Strong technical understanding of glass systems and building science
· Proficient in project management tools (SmartSheet preferred), MS Office, and document control
· Experience with AutoCAD or drafting is an asset
· Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills
· Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and estimates
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites if needed
