Job Full Description
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager role in Coquitlam. This is for a large & growing natural health & food manufacturer. This is a Full-Time & Permanent role. Starts ASAP, for the right fit!
Requirements:
- Must have at least 5+ years of previous Canadian experience within the natural health and/or food manufacturing environments
- Must have previous experience leading a department/team
- Bachelors degree in the Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food, Microbiology)
- ASQ Certification Required
- Expertise in applicable GMP's (NNHPD, 21CFR111), Food Safety (HACCP) and SFQ standards
- Fluent with Lean Manufacturing practices; Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a strong asset
- Fluent with validation concepts, effective change agent related process improvement & new systems/policy implementation
- Proficient with MS Suite and SAP (or similar ERP system) is a strong asset
- Strong analytical & mathematical skillset
- Positive team leader with excellent cross-functional collaboration, can inspire your colleagues to deliver top results
- Excellent communications skills: written & verbal
- References & a Triton Background check will be conducted upon further consideration of a candidate
Duties:
- Lead, maintain & continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with GMP, food safety & regulatory standards (CFIA, NNHPD, FDA, SQF), including audits, certifications, documentation, & product release
- Manage, coach & develop the QA professional team while partnering closely with Operations & other departments to support compliance, training, change management & continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee core quality SOP programs (CAPA, deviations, complaints, supplier approval, food safety, calibration, EMP, change control) and drive data-driven improvements through KPIs, reporting & process optimization
- Manage certifications & Quality System audits (GMP, SQF, Client, Organic, Internal); maintain the site master file
- Oversee the EMP, calibration, supplier & material approval programs
- Manage the customer complaints, deviation, change control, CAPA and supplier investigation programs
- Oversee approval of master formulas, batch documents & release of batches in ERP
- Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvements of the Production & Quality system processes
- Support all Quality compliance processes to interface effectively & efficiently with operations
- Develop & monitor Quality System KPI's & write quality system summary reports for senior management
- Acts as the QAP and back-up to the Direct of Quality Systems & Regulator Affairs
- Other duties as assigned
