We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist on behalf of a large construction service & wholesaler in Coquitlam. This role starts ASAP!
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping relevant experience
- Fluent with MS Office Suite and Quickbooks Online
- Collaborative team player with an eye for detail
- Thick-skinned individual that excels in problem solving
- Excellent communication skills: written & verbal
- Employment References & a Triton Background check will be conducted upon further consideration of a candidate
Duties:
- Manage all outgoing payments, ensuring vendor invoices are verified, accurately coded, approved, and paid on time
- Process high-volume vendor invoices across multiple business entities
- Prepare and post correct journal entries related to accounts payable transactions
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate, resolve, and document discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and payment terms
- Liaise with client vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and AP-related solutions
- Support cash flow management by monitoring payment schedules and prioritizing obligations
- Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and tax requirements (GST/PST)
- Assist with month-end close, accruals, and AP reporting
- Support audit requests and provide required documentation
