Job Summary
Our client in Coquitlam is seeking a dedicated Ware Wash Technician to join their growing team. Technicians play a key role in supporting restaurants and bars by ensuring their dish machines and sanitation equipment operate efficiently. This role involves installation, preventive maintenance, service, and repair of commercial dish machines, laundry equipment, and dispensing systems.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while delivering excellent service to clients across Metro Vancouver. Training, tools, and support will be provided to ensure success in the role.
Installation Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the installation of dish and glass machines, including associated equipment, working with internal teams and external partners.
- Follow specifications, manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings for installations.
Repair and Preventive Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on dish machines and dispensing equipment.
- Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to improve equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure safe equipment operation and verify that machines are functioning properly.
- Train customers on equipment operation and proper maintenance procedures.
- Participate in a rotating schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hands-on technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting and repair.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related field with transferable skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse customer base.
Other Requirements:
- Experience with commercial dishwashers such as CMA, Moyer Diebel, or ADS is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.
- Ability to work flexible rotating schedules.
- Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to maneuver equipment weighing between 75–450 lbs using appropriate tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Location of Work:
- Client sites throughout Coquitlam and surrounding Metro Vancouver areas.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with rotating schedules
- Shift Options:
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Late Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Occasional weekend rotation as required.
