Job Full Description
We are seeking experienced Accounts Receivable Clerks to join an established organization based in Coquitlam.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a collaborative and supportive accounting team and is best suited to an entry-level candidate looking for growth.
This company is hiring for 2x A/R Clerks that reports directly to the Credit Manager.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting support, customer service, or a related finance environment
- Experience working with ERP systems and strong system navigation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations and data review
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Confident written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within the role
- Professional references and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in the selection process
Role Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain customer accounts within ERP systems, including payment terms, tax settings, and portal requirements
- Apply and reconcile daily customer payments, investigating short pays, discrepancies, and unapplied cash
- Assist with reconciliations for large and key customer accounts
- Submit and track claims, deductions, and supporting documentation through customer and supplier portals
- Monitor portal submissions, follow up on rejected claims, and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain credit card expiry information within the POS platform
- Liaise closely with the Shipping Department to obtain proof of delivery (PODs) and backup documentation
- Perform daily secondary cash reconciliations
- Respond to customer emails, voicemails, and routine A/R inquiries
- Follow up on overdue balances, remittances, missing documentation, and unresolved discrepancies
- Maintain accurate digital filing and organized supporting documentation
- Provide backup support to other Accounts Receivable team members as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve A/R workflows and reduce disputes
