We are seeking an experienced R&D Technician Assistant to join an established organization based in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity supporting a fast-paced Research & Development team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in food production, R&D, manufacturing, or a related hands-on environment
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry, tracking, and documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow formulas, specifications, and written instructions
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good organizational skills and the ability to monitor own work for quality and accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is considered an asset but not required
- References and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in the hiring process
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce R&D sample products according to established specifications and timelines
- This role requires handling powdered food products on occasion, and lifting up to 55lbs on some occasions as you come up from the warehouse to the office.
- Accurately follow formulas, procedures, and technical documentation
- Record, track, and document sample data and results for internal and customer use
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Assist with inventory tracking of ingredients and R&D supplies
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to support ongoing projects and customer requests
- Ensure all work aligns with company quality, food safety, and compliance standards
- This role reports directly to the R&D Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams as required

- Starting wage of $21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, with potential for growth
