Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join an established mechanical services organisation based in Port Coquitlam. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity starting ASAP, ideal for a junior accountant or an experienced bookkeeper who is confident working across multiple entities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or junior accounting experience, ideally within construction, mechanical, or service-based industries
- Proven fluency with QuickBooks Online (daily use and strong working knowledge required)
- Experience supporting multiple legal entities (4 entities in this role) would be an asset
- Some payroll processing experience, preferably using Ceridian Dayforce
- Solid understanding of AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end support
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
- Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with operations and management teams
- References and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle bookkeeping for 4 related entities using QuickBooks Online
- Daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assisting with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
- Supporting month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting internal reporting
- Working closely with operations and management to resolve discrepancies
- Preparing documentation for external accountants as required
- Reporting directly to the Accountant
