Express Employment Professionals, Delta, is hiring for a Warehouse Manager role for our client company in Delta, BC. This role will manage the Warehouse. Our client is a leader in this niche market of food distribution for Western Canada. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and staff coordination. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that operations are running smoothly and that products are stored and distributed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing day-to-day warehouse operations with the assistance of the Assistant Warehouse Manager
Manage, supervise and train warehouse staff (10 to 20 depending on seasons or increasing due to growth), ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
Coordinate inventory control and assist with regular stock audits.
Oversee order picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Monitor warehouse performance metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Help in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, logistics) to fulfill orders and resolve customer issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics, preferably in a management role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
Physical activity required, including lifting, standing, and moving products.
Steel toe work boots required; high visibility vest may be required.
