Express Employment Professionals is looking for a driven, hands-on Area Manager to join our client’s team. Our client is a leading multi-service solution provider for the Industrial, Commercial Construction, and Maintenance industries. This role oversees all aspects of operations with a strong commitment to safety, ethics, quality, people leadership, and customer care. It's a key leadership position that will act as the right hand to the Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, align, and execute operational goals across the Halifax region
· Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and strict adherence to safety protocols on all job sites
· Lead day-to-day operations and project delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
· Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new systems, technologies, and processes
· Provide strategic and operational guidance to staff, helping to translate the company vision into practical, on-the-ground action
· Lead by example, upholding and enforcing company and client standards in professionalism, ethics, and performance
· Oversee staffing plans, team development, and resource allocation to meet business needs and growth targets
· Build collaborative relationships across departments and divisions to support broader company objectives
· Monitor and manage budgets, cost control, and project estimates for your area
· Present regular performance updates, metrics, and insights to senior leadership
· Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in operations and construction management
· Represent the company at industry events and in client engagements, acting as a trusted leader and ambassador
· Provide consistent, constructive feedback to team members while supporting their professional growth and development
What We're Looking For:
· 5–7 years of leadership experience in the industrial construction or maintenance sector
· A degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset
· Strong industry knowledge, with a solid grasp of construction and maintenance best practices
· A strategic mindset with a proven ability to build and execute operational plans
· Experience leading teams and driving performance in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
· An established professional network and involvement in industry organizations
· A confident communicator with the executive presence to engage with senior leadership, and the approachability to support teams on the ground
· Natural ability to build trust, resolve conflict, and lead through influence
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented, proactive approach
· A collaborative, enterprise-wide thinker who understands the ripple effects of operational decisions
· Exceptional time management and organizational skills
· Ability to travel regularly to job sites and regional offices (within NS and NB)
· Physically able to wear a fall protection harness and navigate construction sites as needed
