Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently searching for a Payroll Clerk for our client, a well-established company in the construction industry. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with the potential to grow within the company. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and looking to build a career, this could be a great fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy
- Process hourly payroll using ADP and ensure timely payments
- Set up new employees and maintain accurate records in the payroll system
- Calculate wages, deductions, and ensure compliance with payroll laws
- Handle employee questions and resolve payroll issues
- Keep payroll data confidential and organized
- Support the accounting team with basic reports and payroll-related tasks
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience with payroll or cost accounting
- Strong computer skills: experience with ADP or Jonas is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Focused, punctual, and dependable
- Quick learner who’s comfortable taking on new tasks
- Interest in a long-term role (5+ years preferred)
- Construction industry experience is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent required
What our client offers:
- Monday to Friday from 9 am – 5 pm
- No weekends!
- Pay rate of $20 - $22 per hour based on experience
- Professional casual environment
