We are looking for a Full Time PermanentCertified Electronics Technician/Technologist” to join our team.

 

Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the Preventative Maintenance, and Repair of Generators & UPS Systems in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial settings, as well as a thorough understanding of Electrical Safety Protocols. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, able to work independently and is willing to travel as per the job requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Install, maintain, and repair as Generators, ATS's & UPS Systems.
  • Perform Battery Replacements and Battery Testing.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Routines on Uninterruptible Power Systems and Generators.
  • Perform Emergency Repairs on Uninterruptible Power Systems and Generators.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment in particular Generators and Uninterruptible Power Systems and Associated Battery Systems using Various Test Instruments such as Ohmmeters, Voltmeters, Power Quality Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Load Banks, Battery Voltage & Impedance Testers etc.
  • Plan, Review, Illustrate & Layout Drawings.
  • Some Shipping Receiving Duties.
  • Working Knowledge of Office 365 Products.
  • Applicant must be Bondable

Vacation: -3 Weeks vacation

Experience:

  • 3-5 Years Preferable in the UPS & or Generator Field
  • Experience with AutoCAD would be an asset
  • Experience with Test Instruments such as Ohmmeters, Voltmeters, Power Quality Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and Load Banks etc.

 

Licence/Certification:

  • Drivers Licence (required)
  • Clean Drivers Abstract is Required
  • CET/C. Tech

 

Willingness to travel:

·         A valid Canadian Passport

  • Candidate should be comfortable to travel as per the job requirement (All travel expenses are covered by the Company)
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Atlantic Canada, be on-call and work some evenings and weekends.
  • May have to travel to United States for some training once you join
