Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of our client for a Survey CAD Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of construction workflows, and foundational survey training.
The Survey CAD Coordinator focuses primarily on office-based technical work, including creating 3D models, preparing layouts for field crews, and coordinating survey data between teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy, consistency, and smooth communication between the office and the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models for construction layout and machine-control systems
- Prepare accurate and detailed layouts, plans, and drawings for field survey crews
- Process, review, and interpret survey data returned from the field
- Coordinate information flow between construction teams, project managers, and field surveyors
- Maintain organized files, models, and documentation within CAD systems
- Ensure all layouts and models meet project specifications and accuracy standards
- Support project planning through technical analysis and problem-solving
Qualifications:
- Strong AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D is an asset)
- Survey training through education or field experience
- Ability to interpret survey data, technical drawings, and 3D models
- Strong technical judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain findings confidently
- Comfortable working independently in an office-based technical role
