We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our steel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with diverse materials and tools to produce high-quality welded components for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing applications. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and safety are paramount.

Shift: Monday to Friday rotates every 2 weeks
(MUST BE ABLE TO ROTATE BETWEEN ALL SHIFTS INCLUDING DAYS 6AM-2PM, AFTERNOON 2PM - 10PM, AND NIGHT SHIFT 10PM -6AM)
Pay: $25.75/hour + 4% vacation pay
(This is a direct hire position)
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, Stick welding, and TIG welding on metal components according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and hand tools to shape and assemble parts
- Rigging materials and set up welding stations safely and efficiently
- Use calipers, measuring tapes, and basic math skills to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Conduct machining operations as needed for component preparation
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment following safety protocols
- Assist with the assembly of ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards at all times
Experience
- Proven experience and verifiable references from previous employment in MIG welding, TIG welding, Stick welding plasma cutting, and general fabrication within manufacturing or construction environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, rigging, crane operation, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience with machining processes such as using calipers for measurement or operating press brake machines is preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding, rigging, crane operation, and working around heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards
- Valid CWC certification and verifiable references from previous employment is required
