We are currently seeing multiple licenced 310T'sto join our clients team in Burlington, ON
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
- Communicate with customers to explain work needed
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and minimize downtime
- Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. motive power/auto technology) an asset
- 1-3 years of experience as a licensed heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industry
- Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician, or a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice working under a valid Registered Training Agreement with Skills Ontario Trades of equivalent and 2-3 years of experience.
- Valid G class driver’s license with a good driving record. Z Endorsement an asset.
- Must have necessary hand tools.
- Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucks
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software
- Experience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
