Job Full Description

Looking with someone with experience administering payroll (timesheet entry, review, and processing) in Ceridian Dayforce. Good computer aptitude and a keen eye for detail.

This role would also be responsible for helping with some HR coordination (creating files, updating employee information, and screening candidates).

 

1. Payroll Administration

·         Responsible for timely, accurately, and compliantly processing the pay cycles 

·         Audit and process payroll documents and employee data (new hires, changes, terminations, additional earnings, etc.) 

·         Process employee Time & Attendance data to payroll and reconcile variances 

·         Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality 

·         Maintains vacation and sick time records 

·         Develop in depth understanding of payroll software and HRIS, and create reports on demand 

·         Assist employees in registering for or resetting access to online portal

·         Ensure the End of Year Processes are in place for Payroll provider to promptly complete Year End 

·         Leave and ROE administration 

·         Work with payroll platform provider to establish and maintain pay policies in accordance with provincial legislation, collective bargaining agreements, and company policy

·         Liaise with Atlas Copco North America Holdings for payroll and benefits administration

·         Responsible for month-end duties, ensuring timely payment, submitting payroll accrual (with management approval) and general ledger reconciliation. Maintains vendor contact for payroll.

·         Complete worker’s compensation premium reports as per requirements and remit payment in a timely manner

·         Send labour hours reports on weekly basis to Service, Production, and Installation managers

·         Makes recommendations for payroll related policies and provides training as needed to ensure compliance and full utilization of tools 

6. Human Resources Administrative Duties

·         Responsible for onboarding and orientation of new hires for payroll and benefits

·         Provide periodic training to workforce for payroll and benefits updates

·         Maintain HRIS system employee records for new hires, terminations, and employment detail updates

·         Prepare confirmation of employment letters for employees as requested

·         Coordination of new hire checklist and company property

·         Posting job vacancies

·         Screening candidates and setting interviews for open positions

·         Providing monthly and quarterly updates for headcount changes, absences, and leaves

·         Provides back-up and assist in other HR tasks and projects as needed
