Job Full Description

Job Duties  -

·         Lead and manage die build projects from initial design release through to completion, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.

·         Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and material planning teams.

·         Plan and optimize the use of toolroom resources, including scheduling machine center operations and ensuring the timely availability of materials and components.

·         Collaborate closely with design engineers to establish efficient process flows that maximize productivity and resource utilization.

·         Oversee and participate in die tryouts to validate that tools meet dimensional, functional, and volume production requirements.

·         Diagnose and resolve issues that arise during die development, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and improvements.

·         Provide regular progress updates to the Toolroom Manager, including early identification of potential delays or technical challenges and recommended mitigation plans.

·         Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the die build process.

·         Operate toolroom machinery as needed; hands-on experience as a diemaker is essential to effectively guide team activities and ensure technical accuracy.

 

Job requirements –

Ability to stand for long periods, physical work in a toolroom environment.

 

Qualifications -

·         Proven experience in die manufacturing and program management within the automotive industry.

·         Strong technical background in tooling and die operations, with the ability to interpret complex designs and engineering drawings.

·         Hands-on experience as a diemaker, with proficiency in operating toolroom equipment.

·         Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.

·         Familiarity with customer-specific requirements (e.g., OEM PPAP processes).
