Job Full Description
In this position, you will need to have experience in designing large machine control panels, developing servo motion control systems and PLC machine control logic on industrial automation equipment and machinery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop / modify detailed mechanical design assemblies, parts, & drawings using 3D parametric design software
- Conclude assemblies/parts with detailed drawings for MRP, machining and assembly processes
- Co-ordinate the development of new projects with project manager and mechanical/electrical design team
- Utilize our PDM system to manage revisions, integration, & collaborative design processes
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including operating, maintenance, and parts manuals
- Collaborate with assembly technicians to facilitate assembly processes
Ideal Candidate:
- Enjoys technology and continuously explores new possibilities
- Enjoys both working in office environment as well as factory floor
- Experience with 3D CAD parametric feature solid modeling as well as building and organizing large stable
assemblies
- Experience with Product Data Management, specifically PTC Windchill would be an asset but not a requirement
- Has a minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Mechanical Designer/Engineer
