Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals in Cambridge is currently recruiting for a local company looking to add a Red Seal Millwright Maintenance Mechanic to their team. This position is a direct hire position and is a straight day shift in a stand-alone role.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in the automotive industry and be able to contribute quickly with minimal supervision. This position does require the candidate to be ticketed with a valid Red Seal designation.
Job Duties
· Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
· Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyors and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
· Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
· Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
· Responsible to assist with or complete tool set-ups as required
· Responsible for organization and upkeep of maintenance and tool area
· Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance repairs, p.m.'s, and improvements as required to meet equipment, facility, and production demands
· Responsible for identification and procurement of critical maintenance items for machines and MRO’s
· Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
· Responsible for completing daily forklift checks
· Train other employees in areas of expertise
· Maintaining a clean and safe work area
· Other general duties as required
Qualifications:
· Must possess 433A Millwright License issued by Provincial Government
· Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
· Experience working with hydraulic presses, waterjets, roll fed die cutters, forklifts and more
· Must be able to read and interpret measurements in both metric and imperial units
