  • Mandatory CPA Certification: Must hold a valid CPA designation, demonstrating expertise in accounting and financial management.
  • 5+ Years Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive results.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply financial data in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent communication abilities to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial software and Advanced Excel is needed to oversee financial reporting and analysis.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

About the Role:

We're on the lookout for a Senior Financial Controller to lead our finance operations with a focus on our consumer loans portfolio. This pivotal role combines the rigor of financial control with the insightfulness of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tailored to the unique environment of financial services. You'll be at the helm of ensuring financial integrity, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and guiding financial strategy to support our growth and compliance in the consumer loans sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight & Control: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and budget preparation. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Operational Management: Streamline accounting processes and systems for efficiency and reliability. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Strategic Planning & Analysis: Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis efforts to support business decisions. Provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Direct a dedicated team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial insights and risks effectively with senior executives, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory reporting requirements, maintaining impeccable financial and operational integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
