Job Full Description

We are seeking an experienced Buyer with 7-10 years of OEM purchasing expertise to manage supplier relationships, execute procurement strategies, and ensure the timely, cost-effective flow of materials and services. This role plays a key part in supporting production, logistics and product development initiatives. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this role will work closely with logistics in the coordination of tariff impacts, and product movement across domestic and international supply chains.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Source, negotiate, and procure materials, components, and services from approved suppliers.

·         Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring quality and timely delivery.   

·         Execute and maintain purchase orders in alignment with MRP requirements and production schedules.

·         Support OEM programs by ensuring supplier capability, quality compliance, and on-time delivery.

·         Analyze supplier performance, (cost, quality, and delivery) and address issues proactively.

·         Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Production to support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Manage MRO and indirect purchasing as required to support facility and operations.

·         Identify cost reduction opportunities and support supplier development programs.

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical sourcing standards.

Qualification and Knowledge:

·         Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) – from APICS/ASCM strongly preferred.

·         7–10 years of purchasing experience in an OEM manufacturing environment.

·         Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and procurement best practices.

·         Skilled in negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

·         Proficiency in English is required for communication, documentation, and supplier engagement.
