Field Service Technician
Our Cambridge Ontario location is presently looking for someone to join our Team as a full time Field Service Technician. This is a very diverse position, in which your daily activities can include the following:
- Unpack and setup machinery on our shop floor.
- Read through work orders to understand the end function of the machinery.
- Install custom modifications and tooling and prepare the machine for customer signoff.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic issues during setup and testing.
- Work closely with other departments (Applications, Engineering, Machine Shop, Inventory) to solving any issues that arise during setup.
- QC the machinery and application with the shop floor supervisor.
- Work with the team to meet strict deadlines on projects.
- Perform runoff with customers either in person or via web meeting.
- Pack equipment for shipment to the customers facility.
- Will be required to work alone or in a team on larger projects.
- Install new equipment and service existing equipment throughout the North American market. Requires frequent travel within Canada and the United States.
- After the initial training period, Technician will travel on a regular basis – approx.. 2-3 weeks per month and home most weekends.
Qualifications and Skills needed include:
- 2-3 year Electro-Mechanical Technician / Technologist diploma.
- 3-5 years experience setting up equipment in an industrial setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Mechanical background in order to understand how the machinery operates.
