Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Manager to lead daily operations at one of our Client's team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and participate in day-to-day service tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and other vehicle maintenance services.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations in alignment with company standards and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform physical duties such as oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Oversee inventory control, stock ordering, and merchandising to meet service demands and sales goals.
- Handle cash management and ensure accurate processing of transactions and deposits.
- Conduct interviews and onboarding for new hires, and manage ongoing employee development.
- Manage shift scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during peak service times.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and service issues promptly.
- Implement local marketing initiatives and contribute to store-level promotions and community engagement.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment for both customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous retail or automotive service management experience preferred.
- Hands-on automotive experience (e.g., oil changes, tire service) is an asset.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Proficient with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, and retail math.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with health & safety standards in an automotive environment.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced automotive service environment.
- Combination of physical tasks and administrative duties.
- Weekend and evening availability may be required.
