Job Full Description
POSITION TITLE: Sales Associate
Location: Mississauga
Reports to: Sales Manager
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for executing effective sales strategies to maintain and grow existing accounts while reactivating and expanding business with dormant or underperforming customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full sales cycle, including cold calling, prospecting, presenting, and closing sales
- Build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships
- Research and identify potential and existing customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the sales process, value proposition, and product offerings; effectively address objections
- Prepare quotes and estimates for customers
- Provide accurate pricing, product availability, and scheduling information
- Recommend alternative products or solutions to meet customer needs
- Handle order entry and track orders to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Receive and process customer inquiries and orders
- Coordinate with inventory teams to source products not currently in stock
- Meet sales targets, generate new opportunities, and achieve individual and organizational KPIs
- Manage customer accounts in accordance with agreed trading, payment, and collection terms
- Deliver value to customers through internal coordination across departments
- Provide timely reporting on market competition and internal requirements
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and professional image
- Complete all required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building abilities
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Interest in developing a career in sales within the wholesale restaurant or food service industry
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build confidence in client-facing situations
- Willingness to gain hands-on experience in in-person sales and relationship building
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience with CRM software
Professional Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a sales environment
Travel:
- Occasional local travel to customer locations may be required
