Automotive Lifting Equipment Service Technician

Location: Mississauga
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Tentative Start Date: 1 week of August

Our client is a leading provider of automotive lifting equipment and is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join their growing team. This field-based role is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of automotive lift equipment at customer locations throughout the GTA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform annual inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of automotive lifting equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation electronically.
  • Train customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.
  • Identify and order required replacement parts using technical manuals.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous automotive repair, maintenance, or field service experience is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and a multi-meter (training provided).
  • Proficient with iPads/computers and Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Must own or be able to obtain basic hand tools and a multi-meter.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights.
