Non-Profit organization in the Mississauga area is looking for a Senior HR Manager with a specialized focus on Labor/Union relations. This is a great opportunity to work with an organization that does good for the community and helps others. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key liaison between the organization and the labor union
- Fostering positive labor-management relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws
- Address and resolve grievances and dispute in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the union representatives and management to maintain open lines of communication
- Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements
- Help implement and revise policies and procedures within the HR Department
- Travel to other facilities, when needed for investigations
- Manage a small HR Team and help with development and growth
- Coach and support management with disciplinary activities
- Other HR tasks required daily
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience working in a Labor Relations role with and strong HR background
- Proven experience in labor relations, preferably in non-profits or similar sectors
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations or related field is preferred
