Our client in Ajax is looking for a Material Handler to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving and inspecting inbound material and shipping finished products
- Operate Forklift in a safe manner
- Offload & inspect inbound raw material and laminate
- Create labels for required raw material and correctly load raw material and laminate into warehouse system
- Properly dispose of all waste packaging materials associated with inbound materials
- Properly document any damage observed when material is off-loaded
- Verify that all paperwork is accurate according to the actual materials being received
- Communicate effectively with drivers
- Shipping finished products; Unload mill rolls, maintain inventory of materials, wrapping pallets & pulling stock orders
- Assist in other areas of finishing as needed
- Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties consistent with the Roles and Responsibilities defined in the company’s OHS Standards and Guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-5 years of Material Handling experience (Industrial setting)
- 2-5 years of Forklift Operation experience (Clamp Truck)
- Valid Forklift license required (Clamp Truck)
- Completion of High School Diploma
- Ability to work well within a team required
- Must demonstrate well-developed problem solving skills, including the ability and willingness to apply a systematic approach to processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and adhere to written work instructions
Bonus Qualifications:
- Must be highly motivated and able to work without direct supervision
- Must have ability to multi-task
- Must be willing to work in a safe manner and ability to keep work area neat and organized
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30am to 3:00pm
- Pay Rate: $24 per hour
