Job Full Description
Our Pickering client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team for a project they are working on!

Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Desktop (data entry of invoices, payments, and bank transactions)
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing working papers for financial statements
- Prepare GST/HST filings for June and September deadlines to ensure compliance and prevent licensing delays
- Download and organize financial information from bank statements and client accounts for accurate recordkeeping
- Manage e-transfer information and apply payments to client accounts in QuickBooks
- Support year-end file preparation for tax submissions
- Communicate with clients and management regarding missing or unclear financial information
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-3 years of Bookkeeping or Accounting experience
- Proficient in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop)
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Strong understanding of GST/HST filling
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle a variety of high-pressure situations and work independently
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience preparing financial statements or assisting with year-end accounting
- Familiarity with CRA filing procedures (asset)
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: $25 per hour
