Our Scarborough client, a leading food supplier, is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team!

Responsibilities:
- Create and issue purchase orders to vendors
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to forecast procurement needs
- Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, vendor codes, vendor data, and part information
- Communicate with vendors to confirm order details and resolve any discrepancies or delays
- Track open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Support the procurement team with supplier negotiations and contracts
- Reconcile purchase orders against invoices and delivery receipts
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 years of Purchasing or Procurement experience
- Experience working in Foody Manufacturing or Food Distribution industry
- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Bonus Qualifications:
- Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese (asset)
- Experience using inventory management systems (Netstock, Fishbowl, QuickBooks, or similar (asset)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: $20-24 per hour (based on experience)
