Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Painter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality finishes. You will play a key role in ensuring that both new construction and renovation projects meet professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming walls, ceilings, and structures
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Carry out painting work across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Work with a variety of materials including concrete, steel, drywall, and wood
- Mix and match paints to achieve the required colours and finishes
- Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, equipment, and fixtures before painting
- Identify and repair minor surface defects such as cracks, holes, or corrosion
- Follow project schedules and complete work within deadlines
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to safety standards, especially when working at heights or in industrial environments
Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter in construction, including commercial and/or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, coatings, and surface preparation methods
- Familiarity with industrial coatings (e.g., epoxy, protective coatings) is an asset
- Ability to work in different environments, including active construction and industrial sites
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, lifts)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices
Nice to Have
- Experience with spray painting and large-scale industrial applications
- Knowledge of surface treatment methods, such as sandblasting
- Ability to read basic drawings or project instructions
