Job Full Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant with approximately 2 years of experience who holds CD1 and CD2 certification. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively in both English and Tagalog to support our patient base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Provide chairside assistance ensuring patient comfort and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage infection control protocols according to clinic standards
- Assist with scheduling appointments and basic administrative tasks when needed
- Communicate clearly with patients, especially Tagalog-speaking clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
- CD1 and CD2 certification (required)
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Fluency in English and Tagalog (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a multicultural or community-based dental practice
- Familiarity with dental software systems
- Strong customer service background
