Mechanical Design Engineer – Greenhouse Structures

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and support the design, development, and improvement of advanced greenhouse systems. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and an interest in applying engineering principles to create practical, real-world solutions in the growing agri-technology sector.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our engineering and production team, you will:

Create bills of material (BOM) and part numbers for manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping.

Prepare project-specific installation instructions and engineer-stamped drawing packages.

Develop new and update existing manufacturing drawings.

Assist production teams with quality and technical issues.

Prepare quotations for structures and equipment in collaboration with the sales team.

Produce proposal drawings for pre-sales presentations.

Review and improve structural and part designs for efficiency and quality.

Standardize, organize, and optimize templates, drawings, and CAD/ERP use.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.

Experience: 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Skills & Tools: Proficiency with CAD software (Inventor, Vault), MS Office, and ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of steel design principles and structural engineering methods.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Salary and Hours
$65,000 annual salary. Straight day shift Monday to Friday. This is an in-office, full time, direct hire opportunity. There will be opportunities for field, site, and client visits often to understand the scope of client needs.
