Now Hiring: Senior Conventional Machinist / Team Lead
Express Employment Professionals - St. Catharines is currently looking for an experienced Senior Conventional Machinist to join our client’s small, yet growing machine shop and lead a small team.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual conventional machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
- Supervise and lead a team of 3–6 machinists
- Assign daily work tasks and prioritize jobs
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues
- Support training and mentoring team members
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a conventional machinist, 8+ years ideally
- Strong leadership or team lead experience in a machine shop environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and hands-on leader
