Customer Service and Procurement
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Status
This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position. The incumbent will remain on Express Employment Professionals’ payroll for the duration of the evaluation period before potential transition to our client’s direct employment.
About Our Client
Our client is a business-to-business industrial supply and procurement services provider. They specialize in delivering maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) and production supplies — including tools, chemicals, abrasives, spare parts, and other industrial commodities — to manufacturing and industrial customers. Their services include supply-chain optimization, vendor management, inventory consolidation, and technical procurement solutions that help clients streamline sourcing and reduce costs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and process customer orders daily across various accounts
- Includes customer purchase orders, credit card orders, and related documentation
- Resolve sales order and purchase order discrepancies
- Examples include pricing variances, obsolete items, and stock-out situations
- Prepare, review, and process customer quotations as needed (e.g., price adjustments on items currently on order)
- Manage item setups and item change requests on behalf of our client
- Maintain daily purchase order confirmations for customers and vendors
- Review PO acknowledgement reports and follow up as required
- Prepare and submit customer order reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on requirements
- Support resolution of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) issues related to customer orders
- Maintain accurate and organized records in accordance with our client’s ISO requirements
- Includes printing, scanning, filing of customer orders, quotations, shipping documents, invoices, and other records
- Provide backup support to Warehouse Associates as needed

Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel required)
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 1–2 years of experience in Customer Service, Supply Chain, or a related field
