Job Full Description
To maintain facility infrastructure and production equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of high-quality food products. This role is responsible for equipment setup, preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous monitoring of systems to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with established food safety programs and direction from the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure only approved food-grade lubricants and building materials are used throughout the facility.
- Set up and adjust equipment to support safe, efficient, and timely production.
- Monitor equipment performance during production and make real-time adjustments as required.
- Troubleshoot and complete repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct all maintenance and repair activities in a way that prevents contamination of products or the facility.
- Monitor refrigeration systems and maintain accurate daily documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company policies, GMPs, food safety programs, and operational procedures.
- Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines and report concerns promptly to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including damp and wet environments.
- Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Refrigeration Class “B” Operator certification (minimum requirement).
- 4th Class Power Engineer’s license.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems.
- Experience with food processing/manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of maintenance-related safety hazards.
- GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety training.
- Knowledge of BRC and FSEP/HACCP programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting wage: $27/hour (negotiable based on experience).
- Wage and performance review following successful completion of a 90-day probationary period; annual reviews thereafter.

Work Location:
- Windsor, Ontario
- Occasional travel to the Amherstburg location may be required.
