Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join for a client. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-lasting relationships, and driving revenue growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting- Proactively identify and target potential clients through a variety of channels, including cold calling, networking, social media, and industry events. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and new business opportunities.
- Sales Outreach & Relationship Building- Initiate meaningful conversations with prospective clients to uncover their needs and offer tailored solutions. Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, securing meetings and creating new business opportunities.
- Sales Strategy & Execution- Design and implement effective outreach strategies to target ideal customers. Collaborate closely with the sales team to convert leads into active prospects and move them seamlessly through the sales funnel.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Leverage this knowledge to identify new growth opportunities and refine your approach.
Skills and Qualifications-
- A valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to explain basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components clearly and confidently.
- Proven success in solution-based sales with a focus on creating loyal, satisfied customers (aka “Raving Fans”).
- Physical ability to demonstrate products, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable using technology, with a strong understanding of company systems and software.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in sanitation and warewash, is a plus, but not required.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Location- Primary territory: Calgary area
Occasional travel within Central Alberta and Edmonton
This role is primarily road-based, with travel to client sites
