Express Employment Professionals – Fraser Valley is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly motivated Outside Distribution Center Manager for a dynamic, fast-paced operation in the Fraser Valley. This is a full-time opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in logistics and supply chain environments and is passionate about safety, continuous improvement, and delivering outstanding customer service.
As a key site leader, you’ll be accountable for day-to-day operations, team performance, inventory management, and the overall success of the customer delivery process. You’ll report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations across external distribution centers, prioritizing safety, compliance, and operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in distribution workflows, delivery performance, and service reliability across multiple sites
- Utilize ABC inventory classification, POS data, and customer demand forecasting to optimize stock levels and outbound logistics
- Monitor and enhance key performance metrics, including OTIFNE (On Time, In Full, No Exceptions), ATP (Available to Promise), lead time adherence, and inventory accuracy
- Develop and execute labor strategies for off-site teams, including workforce planning, contractor oversight, and scheduling optimization
- Ensure full compliance with MTO/DOT regulations across all external distribution activities, including documentation, vehicle inspections, and driver training
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party logistics providers to resolve delivery delays and elevate the end-to-end customer experience
- Provide operational leadership for yard and freight activities, including staging, dispatch, equipment checks, and last-mile delivery coordination
- Continuously assess and improve layout configurations, material flow, and loading procedures to drive efficiency across remote distribution sites
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience in a Distribution Centre, Warehouse, or Manufacturing environment
- Strong logistics/freight background and understanding of order-to-delivery processes
- P&L accountability experience and strategic mindset
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems (Oracle or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced, team-oriented environment
- Forklift certification and experience is a strong asset
Education & Experience:
- University or College degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous Manufacturing experience
- Logistics / Freight background and experience
- Previous Distribution Centre Leadership
- Forklift certification & experience
