Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial manufacturing company in Abbotsford, BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full-Cycle Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team.
This role is ideal for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a structured, high-volume environment and understands the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Accounts Payable
- Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, approval, and proper coding
- Perform 3-way matching (purchase orders, receiving documents, invoices)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
- Ensure accurate GL coding and cost allocation
Data Entry & Vendor Maintenance
- Enter invoices accurately into the accounting/ERP system
- Maintain vendor files, tax documentation, and payment terms
- Monitor aging reports and outstanding balances
Payment Processing
- Prepare and process payments (cheque, EFT, wire transfer)
- Ensure payments are issued according to vendor terms and company policies
- Maintain positive vendor relationships through timely communication
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
- Assist with month-end accruals and financial reporting
- Support audit preparation and documentation requests
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records
- Follow established internal controls and accounting procedures
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume environments preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
