Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the full scope of HR operations across multiple business units within the organization. This position partners closely with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment standards and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people and culture initiatives
- Support organizational planning, growth strategies, and change management initiatives
- Identify HR priorities and implement long term people strategies
- Contribute to leadership discussions related to workforce planning and culture development
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Lead full cycle recruitment across multiple departments
- Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines
- Coordinate interviews, offers, employment contracts, and onboarding programs
- Establish consistent hiring processes across business units
Employee Relations and Workplace Culture
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations matters
- Support leadership with coaching, team development, and conflict resolution
- Assist with workplace investigations when required
Performance Management and Development
- Lead performance review processes across the organization
- Implement employee development and competency-based programs
- Coordinate training initiatives and leadership development programs
HR Administration and Systems
- Maintain employee records, HRIS data, and employment documentation
- Manage leave policies, reporting, and HR metrics
- Support payroll and benefits coordination with finance teams
- Monitor HR data to support reporting and decision making
Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Support workplace health and safety compliance
Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of progressive human resources experience
- Experience in an HR leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience supporting multi location or multi entity organizations is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, discretion, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage both operational responsibilities and strategic initiatives
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Working Environment
- Office based role located in the Fraser Valley
- Occasional travel between company locations may be required
- Flexibility to manage time sensitive HR matters when necessary
