Our client, a well established and growing agricultural/manufacturing organization in the Fraser Valley, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator / HR Generalist to join their team.

This hands on HR role supports all areas of human resources including recruitment, employee relations, workplace investigations, payroll support, disability management, Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) administration, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and supervisors to provide practical HR solutions while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full cycle recruitment from job posting through onboarding
  • Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategies
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and prepare offers
  • Support workforce planning and employee development initiatives

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Advise managers on employee relations matters and HR best practices
  • Support performance management, coaching, corrective action, and employee development
  • Assist with conflict resolution and workplace issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies

Workplace Investigations

  • Conduct workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations
  • Interview employees and witnesses while maintaining confidentiality
  • Gather and assess evidence and documentation
  • Prepare formal investigation reports and recommendations

Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Program Administration

  • Coordinate recruitment activities supporting LMIA applications
  • Prepare recruitment reports and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with Service Canada and government agencies
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation of Temporary Foreign Workers
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with immigration requirements

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Maintain employee records and payroll related changes
  • Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll documentation
  • Support payroll processing and resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries

Disability Management & Return to Work

  • Coordinate workplace injury and disability claims
  • Work with employees, healthcare providers, supervisors, and WorkSafeBC
  • Develop and monitor modified work and return to work plans
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain HRIS systems and employee files
  • Prepare employment letters, reports, and HR documentation
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights legislation, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Experience managing full cycle recruitment
  • Experience administering LMIA applications and Temporary Foreign Worker Programs
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing investigation reports
  • Experience supporting payroll administration and disability management programs
  • Strong understanding of BC Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
  • Experience in agriculture or manufacturing is considered an asset
  • CPHR designation, or working toward designation, is considered an asset
