Sales Manager – Building Materials & Services
Location: Guelph, ON (Covering Western Ontario including the GTA and Ottawa)
Job Type: Full-Time (50% Office / 50% Travel)
Express Employment Professionals Guelph is hiring on behalf of our client in Guelph. We’re seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead multi-branch sales operations and drive revenue growth across residential, commercial, and service sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales strategy and execution across multiple branches.
- Implement and manage a gross margin-based commission program.
- Coach and support sales reps, focusing on retail, residential, and contractor markets.
- Manage sales budgets and set monthly sales forecasts.
- Oversee bids, proposals, and tenders to ensure profitability.
- Analyze revenue by customer segment and support pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing on sales campaigns and margin improvement.
- Ensure CRM adoption and accurate data use.
- Travel regularly across regions to support teams and growth.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing a sales team
- Proven success in regional/national sales leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems and sales data tracking.
- Advanced Excel skills and understanding of pricing/margins.
- Experience in building materials, construction, or services (asset).
- Strong communication and team coaching skills.
- Degree in Business, Management, or related field.
- Experience managing multi-site teams (preferred).
