AZ Shunt Driver / Yard Worker – $26–$28/hr
Location: Guelph, ON
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:55 AM – 4:25 PM
- Friday: 6:55 AM – 11:55 AM
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of our client in Guelph for an experienced AZ Shunt Driver / Yard Worker. This is a physically active role focused on yard operations and material handling for a busy fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunt trailers within the yard safely and efficiently
- Offload inbound shipments and manage flow of materials to and from the fabrication shop
- Secure and strap structural steel loads on trailers according to MTO regulations
- Operate a counterbalance lift truck (approx. 95% of the job)
- Use an overhead crane to move heavy structural components
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid AZ license
- Shunting experience preferred
- Comfortable lifting up to 50–70 lbs
- Experience with counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes (both required)
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Compensation:
- $26.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)
