Job Description:
Are you a skilled CFAA-registered technician looking to grow with a reputable company? We are seeking a CFAA & Equipment Repair Technician for a full-time position with potential for permanent hire after a successful evaluation period. Join a dynamic technical team specializing in property and life safety systems.
In this role, you will work closely with the Service Manager to diagnose, inspect, and service electronic fire alarm and life safety systems. You will also perform annual system verifications, install ULC-approved monitoring systems, and handle after-hours emergency service calls on a rotating on-call basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and service electronic property and life safety systems.
- Perform annual inspections and verifications in accordance with applicable standards.
- Install and test ULC-approved fire alarm monitoring systems.
- Respond to service calls and resolve issues efficiently.
- Service clients across the Tri-City and Golden Horseshoe areas, with occasional travel throughout Ontario.
- Participate in rotating after-hours on-call duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience
- Current CFAA registration (Required)
- Strong diagnostic skills with major fire alarm control panels (e.g., NOTIFIER, MIRCOM, Chubb/Edwards, Simplex)
- Electrical experience is an asset.
- Experience with security alarm, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems is a strong asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Valid G-Class license with Clean Driver’s Abstract.
