HIRING 20 School Custodians/Janitors
We are gearing up to support our client with 20 Custodians.
Wage: $22.00–$24.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay (paid weekly)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Type: Temporary, with long-term potential
Positions Available:
- 12 roles in Guelph
- 8 roles in Orangeville
- Start Date: Late August
Overview
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is currently recruiting 20 Custodians/Janitors on behalf of our client, a respected facility preparing for the back-to-school season. These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team committed to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for staff, students, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting

Clean and sanitize washrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas

Use industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, sweepers, polishers, and scrubbers

Maintain cleanliness of grounds and property surrounding the buildings
-
Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures as outlined during training

Perform other custodial duties as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate custodial equipment

Must be willing to complete on-site training

Must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Clearance

Reliable transportation to and from the work site is required

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
