Overview
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is currently recruiting 20 Custodians/Janitors on behalf of our client, a respected facility preparing for the back-to-school season. These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team committed to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for staff, students, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Use industrial cleaning equipment such as vacuums, sweepers, polishers, and scrubbers
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds and property surrounding the buildings
- Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures as outlined during training
- Perform other custodial duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate custodial equipment
- Must be willing to complete on-site training
- Must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site is required
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
