About the Role
Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant for a reputable water treatment and pump supply company in Fergus, ON. This role is ideal for someone who is upbeat, eager to learn, and has a strong, vibrant personality. Many of the responsibilities are trainable to the company’s own processes, making this an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and build a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks in the office
- Use Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication
- Handle invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable duties
- Assist with ERP system functions and data entry
- Reception duties, customer service, mail distribution, and filing
- Support bookkeeping and accounting tasks (invoices, processing, records)
- Ensure paperwork and documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in Office 365, Excel, and Word
- Previous experience in invoicing, A/R, A/P, and/or bookkeeping is an asset
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn company-specific ERP processes
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Positive, upbeat, and eager-to-learn personality is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Reliable transportation (role is in-office in Fergus, ON, not bus accessible)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
